This fundraiser for the American Cancer Society was filled with festivities and fun. When guests arrived at the Metropolitan (in costume), they were greeted by butler-passed hors d'oeuvres, which they enjoyed as they perused numerous tables displaying more than 100 silent auction items. At 8 p.m., the silent auction closed for a short time and guests were seated for a plated dinner. There was a short program after dinner, then the silent auction reopened for additional bidding and the Seville's performed dance music. At 11:15 p.m., a live auction took place, and at midnight, prizes were awarded for the best costumes. After a quick espresso from the coffee bar, the guests headed for home.

Décor Details Cancer Society volunteers décorated the space beautifully on a fundraiser budget! Votive candles were provided by the Metropolitan at no additional charge.
Beverage Details Wine was served with dinner-a 1998 Zaca Mesa Chardonnay and a 1997 Hogue Cabernet-Merlot donated by D'Amico Catering. Caribou donated a late night espresso/coffee drink bar.
Menu Details
Every guest got both steak and chicken on their plate, and every other person got a different dessert. Thus spouses and guests could swap desserts or taste their neighbors', which created conversation and interaction!

- Grilled Bistecca and Breast of Chicken with Madeira Wine Sauce on Potato-Polenta Puree with Seasonal Vegetable
- Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee and Hot Tea
Two Desserts-a different dessert was served to every other person
- White Chocolate Macadamian Nut Terrine, or, Metropolitan Ice Cream Sandwich with Marscapone
