The mecca for art and culture
The Minneapolis Institute of Arts is at the heart of Minnesota's expanding art community. Home to over 100,000 works of art, the museum's collection includes pieces from diverse cultures around the world and exemplifies a range of artistic disciplines. First opened in 1915, a new wing designed by world-renowned architect, Michael Graves, was unveiled in 2006. The stately building offers expansive, airy corridors filled with wall-to-wall artifacts and world-famous works of arts, a perfect setting for sophisticated receptions.
